Our Itinerary

Here is the final version of our itinerary. I am so glad that we didn’t pre-book round the world tickets, since it has allowed us to adjust this itinerary as we go. We dropped Europe entirely, I never thought we would have spent so long in Cambodia, and Laos and Japan weren’t on the original plan. It’s been nice to have the freedom to go with the flow.

    Hi gang!

I found you – can’t hide for long… I am so proud of you crazy canucks for doing something like this with two young kids. We would not last a month :)

Take care of everyone and have a blast!

    Hi Tina and Andrew,
Gail and Glen passed on your blog to me. My family of four leaves on Monday for a year of travel beginning in Croatia followed by 3 months in France. We are unsure where we will go after that…but you have given us some ideas! As I sit in packing chaos, I have a question – how are the rolling bags working out? I had backpacks in mind for our boys (13 and 11) but we do have rolling-type duffel bags that we could use. Do you find that the backpack option is more useful? Thanks for any advice that you have and happy travels!

I’m big on the rolling bags. It means the girls can (usually) handle their own stuff, and if they can’t it’s not a hardship for me to take over rolling it for them. Good luck getting ready to leave!

    Hi Tina, Andrew, Bronwyn, Anica:
We got the URL for your blog just a little while go and have been enjoying catching up on your travels. Sounds great so far, and I’d love to hear about your ports of call in New Zealand when we meet up again.
All the best with the next part of your great journey.
    Cheers
